You Can’t Buy Time: Why Selling Your Business Might Be the Smartest Retirement Move You’ll Ever Make

Retirement isn’t the end of your story — it’s just the next ride. Kevin’s reminder today showed me exactly why Bonza does what we do.

On my morning ride, with my cohort of considering retirement, retired and almost retired riders this morning, a pack full of Stans, Kens, Kevins, Geoffs, Sams and, sad to say, Nigels, all with 50s and 60s names that don’t get used anymore, we tend to talk about life, the universe and everything.

Although retired, all are busy and doing something to keep themselves busy. Hobbies are important! Geoff complained he had retired later than he should have. No-one complained they had retired too early.

Kevin, whose business Bonza had sold 18 months ago, thanked me yet again for enabling his retirement. Business Sales is not just about the sale. It’s about enabling someone else to move on to their next phase of life.

Retirement, travel, their next venture or adventure. Kevin reminded me of this, this morning. Thanks
